As someone that did look at the original image ill tell you right now that you did a remarkable job on this.
Im in love with the detail on the camo..and the eyes look fantastic...

Some plastic wrap is definitely in effect but I don't believe it's a rip. If you look at the detail in the eyes it dismisses any thought that this wasn't painted. Anyhow, nice piece, the photo was a wicked one to base the work off of.

This is an illustration based on an image you saw on tv? It looks a whole lot like an image I've seen on a of couple news web sites with a Photoshop "plasticwrap" filtered applied to it.

I'm not saying it's a rip because I've seen a lot of photorealistic illustrations on DA. Perhaps you could elaborate a little more on what you did here?
